General Surgery

General surgery refers to the specialization that treats a wide range of common ailments, many of which affect the abdominal organs.  All the physicians at North Texas Access Surgeons have decades of experience performing general surgeries. All of our general surgeons are board certified in General Surgery by the American Board of Surgery.  

North Texas Access Surgeons performs all general surgery procedures including, but not limited to:

• Hernia repair – complex minimally invasive reconstruction 
• Stomach, small intestinal & colonic surgery 
• Tumor or mass biopsy & removal 
• Skin excision 
• Endoscopy 
• Chemotherapy port placement 

Many of these procedures can be formed using minimally-invasive techniques.  This approach allows the surgeon to use a few very small incisions to perform the procedure, allowing for reduced pain and faster recovery.  Not all patients are candidates for minimally invasive procedures and your surgeon will review your surgical options with you.
